First thing to do when you’ve got a new transmitter is to calibrate the sticks. Very easy to do on the 9x, although it’s not particularly well-known.

Just follow these easy steps.

With the transmitter turned off and both sticks centered, hold the right stick horizontal trim tab button (the lower one) to the right, holding it, push the power switch up and turn the transmitter on. It should go into calibration mode. It’ll show four zero’s at the top corner and the firmware version.

With both sticks in dead center press the menu until a beep is heard, the number will increment to 0001.

Move right stick to top right extreme corner, hold it, press menu until beep, number shall increment to 0002.

Move right stick to extreme lower left corner, hold it, press menu until beep, number shall increment to 0003.

Release right stick and now work on left stick.

Move left stick to extreme upper right corner, hold it, press menu until beep, number shall increment to 0004.

Move left stick to extreme lower left corner, hold it, press menu until beep, number shall increment to 0005.

Center both sticks and press menu until beep.  All done.
